Endothelial cells

These are endothelial cells. Typical features when seen in the blood film are

  • occur in loose sheets 
  • pleomorphic with round to oval nuclei and variably condensed chromatin
  • nuclei may be irregular or grooved and some cells appear to be mult-inucleated.
