1 - An Introduction to Blood Microscopy

Nicole is the lead biomedical scientist in haematology at the Royal Free Hospital. She is originally from Australia, moving to the UK in 2020. She has over 8 years of experience as a specialist biomedical scientist, with a passion for blood film morphology and education. Dr Audi Setiadi provides an overview of three lymphoid malignancy cases.
Dr. Audi earned her medical degree at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON) in 2012 and finished her Hematopathology training at University of British Columbia in 2017. She currently works as a staff Hematopathologist at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. Her interests include hematolymphoid neoplasms, flow cytometry, immunodeficiency disorders and medical education. She has been actively involved in the education of medical technologists and residents, and has given various lectures locally and nationally in Canada.

Samantha Dewey provides a great review of three clinical cases with granulocyte pathology.
Samantha (MLS (ASCP) SH), is the senior haematology laboratory Scientist at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She is responsible for overseeing the operation, training, and quality assurance in the hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis departments. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Bellarmine University in 2010 and is a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and Specialist in Hematology. She is one of the administrators of the Hematology Interest Group on Facebook and maintains the Hematology Interest social media and online accounts.
